The owner is the #1 specialist/expert I know on Cacao.

He even met his wife in South America.

I have been there multiple times for the delicious chocolate and to talk about philosophy.

Anyone who loves chocolate should visit this museum, to learn more about the story, and buy unique chocolate you can't buy anywhere in Amsterdam.

Great experience at the cocoa museum. It's small but has the important info and smells great. With cocoa art on the wall and lots to learn and discover.
We did the tasting experience through Groupon and that's a recommendation to understand and taste the huge difference and know which chocolate you want to buy. Buying is not mandatory but it's hard not to. 😉

We went to visit and for a bonbons workshop with a couple of friends. The atmosphere was great, the place was very cozy.
Mr. Henkjan, our host, gave us a very interesting talk about the origins of cacao and all the amazing things you can make from the cacao pod. We got to taste cacao tea, great fair trade chocolate and cacao fruit juice, all of which which were amazing.
We learned a lot of interesting facts and had a great time playing around with chocolate.
There was also a little shop where you could buy a great variety of fair trade chocolate and some other interesting products.
The bonbons workshop and the visit took about 2.5 hours in total and every moment of it was great. We also got to take our pralines home!
I highly recommend visiting this place and doing a workshop!
